Ana Sellers
Fourth Grade Assistant Teacher
Ana Sellers was born and raised in Berkeley. She has an associate’s degree in general education with a focus on arts and design. She began working with children in 2016 as a group leader and over the years became an ABA, but her first job was as an artist at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco. Ana’s goal is to become an art therapist and help children, especially those with autism and special needs, through art and creativity. She believes empathy and understanding are the most powerful tools in teaching and hopes to spread joy to every child she encounters. In her personal time, Ana enjoys listening to K-pop, meditating at the beach, and playing with her cat, Yuuli. She is very excited to become a part of (and learn from) the Black Pine Circle community for the 2023-2024 school year!
Why I Work with Children
I’m a big kid myself! I love to be silly, play games, and show kids creative and exciting ways to learn and navigate the world around them.
A Favorite Book
Alice in Wonderland. I love that Alice has to embrace a world that doesn’t make sense and see the beauty in it.
Quick Fact
Minimalism is my favorite art movement.
